Servo Motor, Drive & Controller Packages for CNC Rotary Table Manufacturers

For CNC rotary table manufacturers that already have the mechanical rotary unit and need a matched servo motor, drive and controller package. Yidai evaluates the table transmission, motor and encoder, brake method, load and target CNC interface before configuring YD-1 or CSD700.

Clear supply definition: YD-1 is a matched package of axis-card controller, servo drive and servo motor. CSD700 combines the axis-control and servo-drive functions in one device and is paired with a suitable motor. Final scope is confirmed from the rotary table and project data.

Servo Motor, Drive and Controller Packages for CNC Rotary Tables

System Architecture Best fit Selection notes
YD-1 Separate axis-card controller, matched servo drive and matched servo motor Projects that prefer or require a split control architecture No fixed servo power range; drive and motor are selected from table ratio, torque, speed, inertia, load and electrical conditions
CSD700 Integrated axis controller and servo drive, matched with a servo motor Compact indexed 4th/5th-axis systems that benefit from reduced cabinet space and wiring Supports matched servo systems from 400 W to 1 kW; final motor and table match must be reviewed

Engineering Information Needed From the Rotary Table Builder

Mechanical Table Data

Table type and size, reduction mechanism and ratio, rated load, inertia, speed, torque, backlash, positioning accuracy and mounting direction.

Motor and Feedback

Existing or preferred motor, encoder type and resolution, coupling, homing method, limits, brake or hydraulic/pneumatic clamp logic.

Target Market and CNC

Expected FANUC, Mitsubishi, Brother, Siemens or other CNC models, interface preference, operating sequence, annual volume and branding requirement.

OEM Cooperation Options

Yidai Brand

Use the standard Yidai control-system identity with application matching and technical support.

Co-Branded Supply

Combine the rotary table manufacturer's mechanical product identity with a clearly defined Yidai control system.

Private-Label Review

Branding, documentation, minimum volume, technical responsibilities and change control are evaluated case by case.

Commercial and Project Protection

Project registration Qualified projects can be registered with the machine, customer region, application and expected schedule to reduce channel conflict.
Customer protection Non-circumvention and lead ownership can be defined in the cooperation agreement for approved projects.
Prototype and validation Begin with a representative table model and acceptance checklist before expanding to additional sizes or configurations.
Technical change control Motor, encoder, ratio, brake, firmware, PLC logic and wiring changes must be reviewed so compatibility is not assumed from an earlier model.
Volume and territory Pricing, territory, exclusivity and annual targets are negotiated from demonstrated capability and confirmed volume; they are not automatic.

Recommended OEM Validation Process

  1. Submit table drawings, ratio, load, motor/encoder and brake information.
  2. Define the target CNC systems, communication method and manual-operation requirement.
  3. Yidai selects the control architecture and issues a technical assumption list.
  4. Build and test one representative system using an agreed FAT checklist.
  5. Freeze the approved configuration, documentation and supply scope before volume orders.

OEM Rotary Table Control System FAQs

What is the difference between YD-1 and CSD700?

YD-1 uses a separate axis-card controller, matched servo drive and matched servo motor. CSD700 combines the axis-control and servo-drive functions in one device and is paired with a suitable servo motor.

Can an existing rotary table use a Yidai controller?

It may be possible after reviewing the reduction ratio, load, inertia, speed, torque, motor and encoder, brake or clamp logic, homing method and target CNC interface. Compatibility is not assumed from table size alone.

What servo power can the systems support?

YD-1 has no fixed servo power range because the drive and motor are selected for each project. CSD700 is used with matched 400 W to 1 kW servo systems.
