CNC RETROFIT ASSESSMENT

Plan an external 4th or 5th axis retrofit for your 3-axis CNC.

Share your FANUC, Mitsubishi, Brother or other CNC model. We will review rotary-table size, controller compatibility, native handwheel operation and a practical alternative to costly OEM axis expansion.

1. Machine review

We start with the CNC make, machine model, control model and available cabinet space.

2. Process review

Workpiece envelope, fixture concept and required indexing positions determine the right table size.

3. Control and cost proposal

We identify the integration method, check whether the original CNC handwheel can be used, and define a practical external-axis scope.

A share link is the simplest way to send cabinet photos, machine photos or drawings. You may also submit first and reply to our email with attachments.

CNC Retrofit Assessment FAQs

Can an external 4th axis work with FANUC, Mitsubishi or Brother?

These CNC controls are commonly encountered, but the exact machine model, available I/O or communication method, cabinet space and required program flow must be reviewed before a recommendation.

What information should I send for an assessment?

Send the machine make and model, CNC control, workpiece dimensions and weight, required machining angles, plus photos of the machine table or electrical cabinet when available.

Can I use the CNC machine's original handwheel?

On supported TCP/IP integrations, the original CNC handwheel can jog the external 4th or 5th axis without an additional MPG or pendant. The exact control model must be confirmed.
